Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs

Picture
Coming off psych drugs (otherwise known as medication tapering) takes great caution and often very slow tapering off.

Here is a link to Will Hall's Harm Reduction Guide To Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs which can be downloaded for free here: http://willhall.net/comingoffmeds

Will Hall discusses on this video finding out what works for you instead of getting locked into the bias of a broken brain, disease-chemical imbalance needs psychiatric drugs for the rest of your life box.  He also acknowledges that meds can be useful and that some people do get something out of them.

Will's video will be more than your doctor took time to share with you (I bet) and if you are on or contemplating taking psych meds, then you deserve to know what your doc is not telling you so you can make truly informed decisions and know some options.  It is not Informed Consent if you haven't been fully informed.  http://youtu.be/O4bdG601k4k

APRIL Adverse Psychiatric Reactions Information Link  is a UK charity seeking to create awareness that many common medicines and anesthetics can induce psychiatric adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and withdrawal symptoms, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, agitation, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and actions, or violence towards others.  Here is the withdrawal and tapering page http://www.april.org.uk/main/index.php?uid=219&&
